Safeguarding August Update - Exploitation and Modern Slavery
Exploitation is a form of modern slavery, which is a broad term that includes human trafficking, slavery, servitude, and forced labor. It's a serious crime that often goes unnoticed, and it can happen in many places, including communities and neighbourhoods.
Modern slavery occurs when someone is forced to do something for another person's benefit, usually through some form of coercion. Coercion can include threats, deception, abuse of power, or force.
