Who we are
The Job Gym GM is a unique network of specialist training providers offering the people of Greater Manchester a comprehensive range of high-quality training to support the needs of the region. The network includes a range of partners from voluntary and community organisations to larger training providers.
What we do?
Our government-funded training programmes support a broad range of GM communities, priority learner groups and priority sectors including hospitality, health and social care, construction and logistics. They are tailored to meet each individuals needs and strive to improve learners’ life prospects with programmes focusing on improving people’s mental health and wellbeing, digital skills, English and math’s. The organisations are dedicated to deliver interventions that develop the ‘Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours to enable learners to thrive in life and work’.
How we do it
We offer many different ways to train including:
- Online face-to-face learning - virtual classrooms with a real tutor
- Distanced learning - learning at your own pace through online courses
- On site face-to-face training - delivered in centres across GM with excellent facilities and resources
All of our centres are accessible through public transport across Greater Manchester, with some facilities offering free off-road parking and onsite cafes providing affordable healthy meals and free tea and coffee.

Funded by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority
The Job Gym GM receives Adult Education Budget funding from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority meaning that for most GM residents the service is provided free of charge.
