The Job Gym

We operate and promote a policy of equal opportunities throughout the whole of the learning process. This is reflected in our recruitment practices where we welcome applications from all persons regardless of sex, marital status, race, disability, colour, age, sexual orientation, nationality or ethnic origin. We especially welcome applications for learning and work from under-represented groups; such as women looking to get into logistics and people of colour progressing into management roles.

Throughout our learning programmes, we promote learners' developing understanding of the needs of others, especially those sharing protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. Maintaining safety is a core theme of all our learners, and we believe that without genuine inclusion of all individual needs, the effectiveness of safety measures is reduced.

We also ensure learners develop their understanding of mental health issues while on programme with us. We aim to create an inclusive culture where learners can be open about their mental health needs with us and with each other. We believe that reducing stigma around mental health issues and providing effective signposting to support sources, can help learners work toward equality and keep themselves and others safe.

We aim to treat all learners fairly and equally during their time with us and ensure that they know what to do if they have a complaint. Many employers we work with also operate and promote an equal opportunity policy in the workplace, and a zero-tolerance approach to bullying and discrimination. We trust that our employers' and learners' commitment to ensuring equality of opportunity will be the same as ours.
