Mental Health Support Over Lockdown

06 November 2020

During this second lockdown, we may be physically distanced, but never socially distant.

The Covid-19 pandemic has presented many challenges for us all this year, and has taken a serious toll on the nation’s mental health. According to the Mental Health Foundation, during first week of the UK’s first lockdown:

  • 1 in 4 adults struggled with loneliness
  • 67% of adults were worried about their own health
  • 47% of adults were seriously concerned about the health of someone vulnerable
  • 1 in 3 young adults were worried about their careers and education being interrupted.

The general public’s mental health is a serious concern for us all, and we want to offer you the tools, skills, and resources you need to learn to support yourself and those around you in these difficult times. This means that we, at The Job Gym, have put together a package of free, fully funded mental health courses for you.

This package includes:

  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Mental Health Advocacy & First Aid in the Workplace
  • Mental Wellbeing
  • Digital Skills & Staying Connected

The inclusion of Digital Skills is done specifically to make sure you have the skills to keep in touch with your loved ones over the second lockdown and Christmas period, to ensure nobody feels alone at this time.

We, at The Job Gym, are here to support you during these difficult times. Please visit our Safeguarding & Welfare page for guidance and emergency helplines.
