In response to the latest government announcements, we have advanced our measures to protect learners, staff and visitors across all of our sites and have therefore suspended face-to-face delivery, increasing our usage of digital platforms to fulfil learning requirements and carrying out meetings.
As a training provider specialising in logistics & transport; it remains our goal to continue to support key workers at this time of national crisis. Our organisation plays a vital role in training the logistics sector to deliver food to the people; medical equipment to the NHS; enforcement equipment to the armed forces and the medicines and fuel our country needs to overcome this crisis.
Recruiting and training new workers
In cases where businesses are laying staff off, we are providing support through our Job Gym GM programmes, to help to redeploy people across key worker jobs, this includes:
We are now offering a new suite of learning programmes that are carried out virtually. They support individuals to improve their employability skills, mental wellbeing and support to find roles as a key worker.
Support for young people
We will be supporting young people who are looking for an apprenticeship to kick-start their career this summer. Many of our employers are still recruiting and will be over the coming months, so we will be utilising our digital programmes to prepare young people for the work environment.
The health and wellbeing of our staff and learners is our priority, so we will be closely monitoring guidelines set out by the government and acting accordingly.
